South Island

The

Beauty Around Every Corner

 Context

South Island

The

Seeing is believing

and when it comes to New Zealand's South Island, you may find yourself in a state of disbelief. The answer to all of your disbelieving questions is, quite simply, yes.

Yes, those cliffs are that tall and that sheer.

Yes, there really are more waterfalls that you could count in a lifetime.

Yes, that water really is that color blue.

Yes, there really are that many sheep roaming the NZ countryside.

And yes, this really is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The South Island lends itself well to hyperbole simply because it is easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer scale, magnitude, and beauty of the different corners of the island. Whether it's the relaxing, sunny beaches up north near Nelson, cruising through the gorges and tasting the crisp and tasty wines of the Otago region, admiring the cascading waterfalls on a boat tour through one of the jaw dropping sounds, or winging yourself off a mountain in the adventure capital of the world, the South Island has it all.

There truly are fewer places on earth that can rival the splendor of the South Island, and I consider myself extremely fortunate that I've visited this area more than once. I can say confidently that I'll be back - let me show you why.
