Well, maybe not exactly, but the Coromandel manages to come pretty close. Beautiful beaches? Check. Dramatic mountainous background? Double check. Quiet, peaceful respites, unrivaled views, delicious food, and friendly locals? You know it.

The Coromandel peninsula may not be off the beaten path anymore, but if you time your visit just right (that means the shoulder seasons of the Southern Hemisphere's fall and spring) means you can have glorious weather, and these stunning beaches all to yourself. I'm not saying you should visit, but if I ever decide to drop off the radar, this may be the first place you should send a search party.
